Bloc Party's new single sounds a bit like...
BoNo Must Die. (oRphans.) or O Children, or whatever they are now. I like it. It's loopy, and electronic. And they pulled one out of Foals book with the horns. Expect cries of "Where are the guitars!" by a good portion of their fans. Perhaps Russell was busy with PMD when this was coming to pass, but none the less I am digging it. I'm assuming that Russ is very into techno. So maybe this was his doing as much as Kele's, why "blame" Kele, just because he is in front. The only thing I found lacking about it though, were the lyrics. They start off as just too awkward. "Now is not the time to sign a lease."
It gets more intricate as the song progresses. The synth almost pulls you in at times.
Kele has pulled the half singing, and yelling from the first two albums and combined them in "Mercury."
I am happily awaiting the new album.
